Terms of Use

These are the terms of use for gtgaming.org, the website of Get Through Gaming ("GTG", "we", "us"), a safe-for-work gaming community that has been running since 2016. By using this site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. Our community itself lives on Discord, and taking part there means these terms and our community rules apply to you as well.

Who we are, and who this is for

GTG is a volunteer-run gaming community, not a company selling a product. This website exists mainly to introduce you to that community and point you at our Discord.

You should be at least 16 years old to use this site or to join our Discord. Some of the games and servers we run set a higher bar (War Thunder, for example, is 18 and over); where a game says so, that age applies for that game.

Using this website

You are welcome to read this site, share links to it, and follow the links out to our Discord and other channels. Please do not attempt to break, overload, or misuse the site or the services embedded in it, do not scrape it at scale, and do not use it to do anything unlawful.

Community conduct

GTG is safe-for-work and welcoming by design. Whether here or in our Discord, we expect people to be decent to each other: no harassment, hate, threats, spam, cheating, or sharing anyone's private information. Our moderators run the community and may remove content, or remove people, that make it worse for everyone. Inside Discord you also agree to Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

Intellectual property

Game names, logos, artwork, and trademarks shown on this site belong to their respective owners, including Gaijin Entertainment, Bohemia Interactive, Shockfront Studios, Battlestate Games, and The Indie Stone. They are used here to describe the games we play, and their appearance does not imply any affiliation with, or endorsement by, those owners.

The GTG name, our shield logo, and the writing and design of this site are ours. Please do not reuse them to impersonate GTG or to suggest we are behind something we are not.

Supporting GTG

If you choose to support GTG through the "Support Us" link, that support is handled by a third party (Patreon) under their own terms, and their rules on payments and refunds apply. Supporting us is voluntary. It helps cover our costs and does not, on its own, buy a rank, special treatment, or any guaranteed benefit in the community beyond anything clearly described on the support page itself.

Third-party services and links

This site links to and embeds services run by other companies: Discord, YouTube (in privacy-enhanced mode), Steam, and our channels on YouTube, X, Facebook, and Twitch. It is hosted on Vercel. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content or their terms; when you use them, their rules apply. For what the embeds mean for your data, see our Privacy page.

No warranty

This website and our community are provided as-is. We are a volunteer community and we make no guarantee that the site, the Discord, our game servers, or any event will be available, uninterrupted, or free of errors. Game server addresses, schedules, and details on this site can change at any time.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, GTG and its members and moderators are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site, our Discord, our game servers, or any third-party service we link to. You use them at your own discretion and risk.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make a meaningful change, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

International community and local laws

GTG is an international community with members around the world, so these terms are not tied to the courts of any single country. You are responsible for following the laws that apply where you live, including making sure the games, servers, and services we link to are available and permitted in your country. Where any part of these terms cannot be enforced in your location, the rest of them still applies.
